Experience SALT in a Whole New Way

There are those who attend. And there are those who help make it happen.

Each year, long before the doors open and long after the final conversation fades, a group of people step into something more. Not for recognition, but for purpose. Not just to be present, but to be part of it.

This is the SALT Serve Team. A chance to step behind the scenes. To serve with intention. To grow alongside a community that believes the work matters.

What You Will Experience

Not everything happens on stage. Some of the most meaningful moments take place just out of view where preparation meets purpose, and small details shape lasting impact. As part of the SALT Serve Team, you will find:

  • Behind-the-scenes access to the moments that bring the conference to life
  • A shared rhythm of community with others who are serving alongside you
  • Work that carries purpose, contributing to something larger than yourself
  • A closer view of the SALT environment where creativity, faith, and calling intersect

What to Expect

Clarity creates confidence. We want you to know exactly what this experience holds.

  • Travel and housing are not included, though group hotel rates will be available
  • You will be placed in a role-based assignment aligned with event needs
  • A defined schedule will guide your time and responsibilities
  • During conference hours, meals will be provided
  • Additional details will be clearly communicated ahead of time

At SALT, what happens on stage matters. But what happens behind it makes everything possible.

If you are looking for more than a seat, if you are ready to serve, to learn, and to be part of the work, we invite you to step in.

12 years ago, I volunteered at SALT as a favor. Now my wife and I have October automatically blocked on the calendar each year. It's about community, friends, and long-term connections. My wife calls it a family reunion. Every year we get to see old friends and make new ones that feel like family. Trust me, you will love volunteering. And you'll miss it when it's over.

A few years of volunteering at SALT and I'm still not done. The friendships, the leadership team, the chance to watch God work up close — it gets better every year. Come serve with us. You won't regret it. (And yes, you will get your steps in.)

Tech & Production

The backbone of every session, workshop, and masterclass. The Tech & Production team ensures that all audio, visual, and technical elements run seamlessly throughout the conference. This year, we're specifically in need of camera operators and load in/out help.

Operations Support

This team works closely with SALT leadership to keep every detail in place before attendees ever walk in the door. From prepping materials to restocking snack stations, Operations Support volunteers are the quiet force that makes everything feel effortless.

Guest Access Team

Stationed at entrances and key access points, the Guest Access Team ensures that every attendee is in the right place with the right credentials. This role will primarily be checking badges and wristbands to help attendees know if they're in the right spot.

Information & Wayfinding

The Information & Wayfinding team is the go-to resource for attendees on the move. Whether someone is looking for their workshop room, needs directions, or just has a question - this team makes sure no one feels lost or overlooked.

Media Team

The Media Team captures the moments that live beyond the conference. We're looking for studio managers, videographers, and editors. This team helps document the energy, community, and impact of SALT so it can be shared with the world.

Common Questions

Will I be able to attend sessions?

This experience is different by design. While you may catch moments as the schedule allows, your role on the SALT Serve Team is to serve in the area you have been entrusted with.

What is the time commitment?

Time commitments vary depending on your assigned role. Some positions may span the full week, while others are focused on the core conference days from Wednesday through Friday. Fill out the form above with your area of interest and your availability. We'll be in contact with more details about time commitments from there.

Can I choose my role?

You are welcome to indicate areas of interest in your application. Our team will thoughtfully place each Serve Team member where the need and the fit align best.

When will I hear back?

Our team will reach out soon after we receive your interest form to follow up directly. Our goal is to have all Serve Team placements confirmed by the end of August.

What is included?

During conference hours, meals will be provided along with snacks, drinks, and coffee to keep you going throughout the day. More than that, you will step into an experience that allows you to be part of something that means so much to so many.

Do I need a ticket?

Once our team confirms a volunteer role and time with you, the only expense to join us at SALT will be your travel and lodging. You do not need to register or buy a ticket for SALT. Before committing to join us, however, make sure to fill out the interest form and confirm a placement with a SALT team member.
